Chronic Trips CannAthletes

Mission:

~To Promote, Motivate & Educate toward an elevated active and healthy lifestyle~

Seth (founder of Chronic Trips & CannAthlete Team):

As an avid explorer and naturalist from a young age I've dedicated my life to protecting natural areas through advocacy and education for all to explore. Having a background in medicine and outdoor leadership I've spent the last 14 years bridging nature and medicine together with people. Cannabis is my ultimate mind & body supplement, also coffee. I currently compete in running (road & trail) races and cyclocross. A few accomplishments are mountaineering to 21,000 ft in Peru, Thru-Hiking the Appalachian Trail, Thru-Hiking the Long Trail, Thru-Hiking the New England Trail and 14 winter ascents of Mt. Washington. If you can do it outdoors I'm into it so lets go!!

Moe:
I’m an experienced hiker and camper, having thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2016. I’m a Licensed Guide living in New York’s Catskill Mountains and actively engaged in all aspects of outdoor life in the area.
As a Catskill 3500 Club member, I’ve climbed all 35 peaks in the Catskills above 3,500 feet. I’m currently working on my Catskill Park All Trails Patch and the Catskills Grid.
I’m also a non-profit leader working in the Catskills community. I volunteer with the NY-NJ Trail Conference and the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, where I oversee a team of volunteer trail supervisors and maintainers in Orange and Rockland Counties.
In life we Hike On! and my mission is to bring people outdoors to see nature in a way they’ve never experienced before.

Mark:
A married father of two incredible boys, I’m a carpenter by trade, cannabis cultivator and fisherman by passion.
Since I can remember, I’ve always loved to fish. My Pepe used to take me brook trout fishing when I was young. We’d hike for miles sometimes to find the smallest stream to catch the most beautiful fish.
As I grew older, I developed a love for cannabis. These worlds just seem to morph perfectly together: Being outside in nature while searching for the biggest fish and freeing your mind with cannabis.

Julia:
Residing on the North Shore of Massachusetts, I’m a medical cannabis patient with Ulcerative Colitis (IBD) who treats her disease holistically through a combination of clean eating, cannabis and exercise.
When western medicine resulted in undesirable side effects, my passion for cannabis and nature became stronger. Today, my specialties include telemark skiing, hiking and yoga. Cannabis assists me in getting deeper into tele turns, gathering strength to summit mountains, and giving my body the flexibility to flow through yoga poses with ease.

Brock:
Formerly a professional chef, I’ve freed myself from the restaurant world and returned to New England to pursue my passions.
My main focus these days is on fishing. Although anytime I can wet a line is fine, kayak and ice fishing are my primary passion.
I’m also an avid disc golfer and often tournament director.
"The best path in life is always Twisted, never Straight.”

Laque:
I’m a 7-time All-American Track and Field athlete and 2014 Division I Track & Field Champion.
I also bobsled and play rugby and football in the WFLA (Women’s Football League).
I’m a personal trainer and promote elevated exercise in my training practices.

Chip:
Based out of Boulder, CO, I’ve been climbing for about 10 years. If I’m not in the gym training, I’m trying to get outside to climb no matter what the weather or season.
When outdoor climbing or getting ready for the gym, I’ll elevate to help focus and bring about a state of mind that helps me achieve my goals and assists with recovery.
